Kurobuta -- Imo-Shochu -- Satsuma-Age
Our humble beginnings start from a place rarely visited by tourists, but it's a place our family calls home. It's tucked away on the southern tip of the Kyushu Island, known for some of the heartiest foods and volatile volcanos. Growing up, our family owned a handful of restaurants each with it's unique taste of Kagoshima. It's here we learned about the importance of every ingredient and how nothing should be overlooked. You see, Kagoshima-jins are what we call "Ganko." It's means we're hardheaded and stubborn. We don't look at it as a dysfunction of our personality, as we've managed to utilize this in our craft. That's why we now own a tofu shop because it just had to be done the right way.
